I love the striking pose, the facial expression, the washed out colors, placement of the lights and subsequently the shading... I love the realization of the hair and its styling - they are equally brilliant.
If you were really to twist my arm and force me to find something about this image that I do not regard as absolutely perfect and I would look really really long and hard... the only - really only (!) - parts I would feel could be different are the size/ proportion of the eyes (I don't know why but I feel they could be either bigger or find a different placement to each other) and the shade of the nose (tad too strong)...
That would be +- R800.00 in South African currency, minus tax, which is not that bad considering, but still a bit pricy for me though. I'm going to have to stick to pencill and paper for a while longer it seems.
Thank you I used Photoshop CS3 for this piece, but I upgraded to Photoshop CS4 and I'm absolutely loving it. It doesn't have huge changes functionally, but WOW run it on a new Intel Mac or 64bit Vista and BAAaaAAMMM!!! It's lightning fast
