It's my Birthday today...!
Such a happy occasion! My heart is filled with joy as I thank all my well-wishers and fans for my birthday.
Well...this is the year. This HAS to be the year to make it happen. Jack Kirby began to draw at the age of 47. So if I don't start drawing comic books and going to tons of conventions now, I don't think I ever will. Nor will I have the competitive edge to draw with youthful energy like most of you folks out there.
No excuses. Today is the first day of the rest of my life! :dance:

2016 in Review...
This has certainly been one of the most challenging years of my life. Certainly the separation of my spouse has left an unhealing scar in my heart, but also the death of my uncle and friend and my own health issues, have made it very difficult for me to do what I need to do.
I am hopeful, like every year around this time, that the new year will usher newfound hope and joy in my life. The university has been gracious in allowing me to teach photography and illustration on top of what I've already been hired to do, which is fixing computers and running the infrastructure of an entire faculty. This has been a blessing.

It's crazy too, cause his death is strangely ironic: he did movies about driving in fast cars and thefts (the Takers movie for one) and here he died in a fast car while helping out/giving money at a charity for the Philipines Typhoon... The whole thing's a shame. 
RIP, Paul Walker. Saw the first Fast and Furious movies and was totally blown away by them--largely in part to him and his character.
